Properties of Laser (One Line Explanation)

 Properties of Laser

Laser light has some special properties that make it different from ordinary light.

1. High Intensity

Laser light is very intense, which means it has very high energy compared to normal light.

2. Monochromatic

Laser light has only one wavelength or one colour, unlike ordinary light which has many colours.

3. Highly Directional

Laser light travels in a single straight direction and does not spread much over long distances.

4. Coherent

In laser light, all the light waves move in the same phase, which makes the beam strong and focused.

5. Low Divergence

Laser beam spreads very little while travelling, so it can cover long distances without losing strength.

Conclusion

Because of these special properties, lasers are widely used in engineering, medicine, communication, and industry.
